Paraphrase Feature

The Paraphrase Feature, available in the Tools dropdown, allows you to rewrite text to improve clarity, tone, or style. You can apply this tool to the entire input text or a selected portion, such as a word, sentence, or paragraph.

How to Use the Paraphrase Feature

To paraphrase text:

  • Highlight a portion of the text or leave the entire input text as is.
  • Click the "Paraphrase" button in the Tools dropdown menu.
  • The paraphrased text will replace the original text or the selected portion in the input area.

Paraphrase Settings

Customize the behavior of the Paraphrase feature by clicking the gear button () next to the Rephrase button. The available option is:

  • Temperature Slider (0-1): Adjust the slider to define how unexpected or creative the paraphrased text should be:
    • Lower Values (e.g., 0.2): Produce more predictable and conservative paraphrases.
    • Higher Values (e.g., 0.8): Generate more creative and varied paraphrases.

Language Considerations

The Paraphrase tool uses the selected source language to determine the output language. For example:

  • If the source language is set to English but the input text is in Russian, the paraphrased output will be in English.

Additional Features

  • Save: Use the "Save" button to save the paraphrased text. You can enable automatic saving for convenience. For details, refer to Saving Preferences.
  • Undo/Redo: Revert or redo paraphrased text using the Undo/Redo buttons. For more information, visit Undo/Redo Options.
  • Repeat Paraphrasing: You can rephrase the same text multiple times to explore different variations.

Best Practices

  • Use the Temperature Slider to adjust the creativity of paraphrasing according to your needs.
  • Ensure the source language matches the input text for the best results.
  • Save your work frequently to avoid losing any changes, and utilize Undo/Redo for quick corrections.
