Translate Texts

To translate text in Popnie Assistant, follow these simple steps:

1. Input or Select Text

Type or paste your text into the source/input area. You can translate an entire text, or a selected portion, such as a word, phrase, or sentence. To translate a selected portion, highlight the desired text and click the "Translate" button.

2. Select Target Languages

Choose one or more target languages from the dropdown menu. Note: Translating to multiple languages at once is only available for higher plans and not included in the Basic Plan. This helps prevent consuming all your words too quickly by mistake.

3. Define the Source Language

While Popnie Assistant can automatically detect the language of your input, we recommend manually selecting the source language for better results, especially for short texts or languages with common words (e.g., Russian and Bulgarian).

  • If your text contains multiple languages, pre-selecting these languages will significantly improve accuracy.
  • To detect languages programmatically, use the "Detect" tool.

4. Apply Context for Better Accuracy

Enhance your translation accuracy by applying a context to your input. Context allows you to tailor the translation to a specific subject or tone. You can create and manage contexts using the "Manage Contexts" button, and then apply the saved context to your input.

5. Execute the Translation

Once everything is set, click the "Translate" button. The result will appear in the output area. If no source language is selected, Popnie will attempt to detect it, though this may lead to inaccuracies for very short inputs.

Important Notes

  • Partial Translations: Highlight specific text (e.g., a sentence or word) in the input area to translate only that portion instead of the entire text.
  • Multi-language Texts: If your input contains multiple languages, define these in the source language dropdown for improved accuracy.
  • Contextual Accuracy: Visit the "Context Customization" page to learn more about how context improves translation quality.
