Context Customization

The Context Customization feature allows you to seamlessly apply custom contexts to both the input and output text. This ensures that the text's tone, audience, or any other specified attributes align with your needs and expectations.

How Context Customization Works

You can apply context to:

  • Input: The applied context affects the current content of the input text. For example, applying a "Formal Tone" context to the input means that actions like paraphrasing, correcting, or finding synonyms will produce results based on a formal tone.
  • Output: The applied context impacts the final response. For example, if you set the output context to "Formal Tone" and translate text, the translation will reflect the formal tone in the result.

Examples of Context Application

Context customization can be used in various scenarios:

  • Input Context: Applying a "Formal Tone" to the input ensures all text modifications (paraphrasing, corrections, etc.) align with the formal tone.
  • Output Context: If you set the output context for a specific audience, such as "Under 12 Years Old," the explanation of the input text will be tailored for a child in that age range.
  • You can apply different contexts to the input and output simultaneously. For example, a "Professional Tone" for the input and an "Age-Specific Tone" for the output.

How to Apply Context

To apply a context:

  • Click the button to apply the selected context.
  • To select a context, click the gear icon next to the button. This will open a modal displaying all your created contexts from Manage Contexts.
  • Select the desired context from the list. The selected context will be marked in bold.
  • To unselect a context, click on it again in the list.

Best Practices

  • Use input contexts for actions like paraphrasing, corrections, or synonyms to ensure the input text matches the desired tone.
  • Apply output contexts for translations, explanations, or summarizations to align results with your audience's needs.
  • Combine input and output contexts to create highly customized results for complex scenarios.

Key Benefits

  • Provides precise control over the tone, audience, and style of both input and output text.
  • Enhances the relevance and accuracy of results by tailoring them to specific requirements.
  • Simplifies the process of managing tone and audience settings for various tasks.
